LAST WEEK, SUPREME COURT JUSTICE RUTH BADER GINSBURG PASSED AWAY, LEAVING A VACANCY ON OUR NATION’S HIGHEST COURT. GINSBURG WAS A COMMITTED ADVOCATE FOR CIVIL RIGHTS AND AN ALLY TO OUR NATION’S WORKERS. THROUGHOUT HER TIME ON THE COURT, SHE PROVIDED A VOICE FOR THE VOICELESS AND REMAINED COMMITTED TO ENSURING THAT THE RIGHTS OF ALL AMERICANS ARE HONORED.
BEFORE HER PASSING, GINSBURG TOLD HER FAMILY THAT SHE WISHED FOR HER SEAT TO REMAIN VACANT UNTIL AFTER A NEW PRESIDENT TAKES OFFICE, SO AMERICAN VOTERS ARE ABLE TO MAKE THEIR OPINIONS KNOWN ON THE DIRECTION OUR NATION WILL TAKE. IT’S OUR JOB TO MAKE SURE THAT WISH IS HONORED.
CALL YOUR SENATOR AT 313-528-6780 AND TELL THEM TO WAIT TO FILL RBG’S SEAT UNTIL AFTER A NEW PRESIDENT TAKES OFFICE.
WE SHOULD HONOR HER LEGACY AND LET THE AMERICAN PEOPLE MAKE THEIR VOICES HEARD BEFORE HER SEAT IS FILLED.
